Proofing linen / couche - 100% French bakers linen - 100 x 60 cm

These couches or proofing cloths are made of 100% high quality French bakers linen (natural untreated fiber), as used by artisan bakers to proof baguettes, batons and other artisan loaves. With a lovely red stripe detail.

The loafs hold their shape because they are supported by the cloth. Unlike cotton fabric, linen also has the added advantage of being practically non-stick and fast drying. 

This 100 cm / 39.4 inches version, with a width of 60 cm / 24 inches can comfortably hold 4 baguettes or batons. When finished, simply give the linen a good shake, or you can, if you prefer, fold it up for next time, after letting it dry completely.

If you need to wash the linen, always wash in cold water.
