Hello Mathilda,
You are referring to another type of sugar, possibly muscovado or maybe demerara. Caster or castor sugar is a British name for ‘fijne kristalsuiker.

castor sugar is not normal sugar. Sugar used for baking is usually “kristalsuiker”, which is a bit finer than the sugar we use in coffee or tea. As far as I know castor/caster sugar is “basterd” +suiker (sounds horrible in English). It is coarse sugar available in dark brown and light brown.

Either greaseproof or (siliconised) baking paper is what you mean, I think?

Hallo Gerrie,
Wij hebben zelf geen ervaring met de koekjespers. Onze inschatting is dat dit deeg daar niet echt geschikt voor is gezien de samenstelling. Maar misschien kun je het met een kleine hoeveelheid van het deeg proberen.

Hi Tay,
It is caster sugar, so normal sugar not powder…

Hi Barbara,
The recipe is in Dutch, but the English version will follow soon. Normally we do it the other way around, but forgot to add the sentence ‘English version coming soon….’

Hello Laura,
The English version will follow shortly. Normally we do the English version first and then the Dutch, this time we just mixed it up and did it the other way around.

Half of this page is in English and the other in Dutch (I think).
Thanks
